Comments:
Immunohistochemistry of Hidradenoma Papilliferum: The glandular epithelial cells express low molecular weight cytokeratin, EMA, CEA, HMFG, and GCDFP-15. Estrogen and progesterone receptors are positive. The myoepithelial cells express S100 protein, p63, and SMA.

The image shows low power view of another case of hidradenoma papilliferum with papillary and cystic areas in a collagenous stroma. The tumor is believed to be of sweat gland origin; however, due to its remarkable similarity to intraductal papilloma of the breast, some have suggested it arises from anorectal mammary-type glands (ectopic breast tissue).
