Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis of Spleen: The Langerhans cells (LCs) are positive for langerin (CD207) in a granular cytoplasmic pattern and CD1a (membranous and paranuclear staining). S100 protein is positive as well but not specific. This image shows nodular aggregates of S100 positive LCs in the splenic red pulp. Other positive markers include CD68, CD4, and vimentin.

Negative markers include CD1c, B-cell and T-cell markers, CD30, and CD23.
