Atrial Myxoma

Comments:
Some myxomas may show cartilaginous tissue or extensive ossification (as depicted here). Other rare findings include extramedullary hematopoiesis, thymic remnants, and mucin-producing glands arising from foregut remnants (glandular myxomas). Cytologic atypia, increased mitotic activity, or necrosis are generally absent.
