Comments:
Juxtaglomerular cell tumor is highly vascular and consists of small venules, muscular arterioles, and capillaries interposed between monomorphic tumor cells. Branching vessels with "stag-horn" configuration resembling those seen in hemangiopericytoma may also be present. The tumor arises from juxtaglomerular cells - a component of the juxtaglomerular apparatus which plays a role in regulating blood pressure via renin release.
