Infantile Hemangioma : GLUT1

Comments:
The endothelial cells of infantile hemangiomas consistently express GLUT1, a glucose transport receptor. The expression is independent of proliferative activity and is not seen in other vascular lesions except verrucous venous malformations and rare angiosarcomas.

This case is from a 9 month old baby who presented with a periorbital tumor.
