Hyperplastic Polyp

Comments:
This hyperplastic polyp contains abundant chronic inflammation, including lymphocytes, plasma cells, and eosinophils. Increased intraepithelial lymphocytes are also present. Dysplasia can occur in hyperplastic polyps, especially when they reach a large size. Care must be taken to distinguish true dysplasia from reactive atypia.
