Comments:
Treatment of Regressed Germ Cell Tumor (GCT): When a patient presents with retroperitoneal metastasis and testicular ultrasound confirms the presence of palpable or non-palpable abnormalities, the treatment of choice is ipsilateral radical orchiectomy.

There are no known biological or clinical differences between regressed and non-regressed GCTs. Overall management is similar to that for non-regressed GCTs of similar stage.

The image shows lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate within scar in a regressed GCT of the testis.
