Besides nests, the tumor cells may form ribbons or trabecular arrangements. Notice the rich vascular network separating clusters of tumor cells. The cytoplasm is granular with deeply basophilic or amphophilic appearance. The nuclei are round to oval and have prominent nucleoli.
