Comments:
This is a rare benign neoplasm that may arise in the esophagus. The histologic features are similar to those seen elsewhere in the head and neck region or urinary tract. The tumor is composed of papillary fronds lined by several layers of non-keratinizing squamous epithelium around a fibrovascular core.
