Higher magnification of the previous image showing fibroblastic cells with abundant bipolar eosinophilic cytoplasm, round to oval nuclei, fine chromatin and a few inconspicuous nucleoli. Mitoses are rare and there is no obvious atypia. In the background are mixed inflammatory cells including plasma cells, lymphocytes and neutrophils and extravasated red blood cells.
