Coccidioidomycosis : Liver

Comments:
Miliary liver involvement in disseminated coccidioidomycosis in a 41 y/o male. Small granulomas are seen scattered throughout the liver surface. In addition, the patient had necrotizing granulomas and abscesses in the lungs, splenomegaly with coccidioidal abscesses, siderosis and pronounced extramedullary hematopoiesis. The patient had previous history of coccidioidal pneumonia and skin lesions (confirmed with fungal cultures) 2 years back. Image copyright: Pathorama.ch
