Comments:
This image shows a homogenous population of small cleaved cells (centrocytes) in a follicular lymphoma, Grade 1. Only rare centroblasts (<5 cells/hpf) were found. These patients are usually asymptomatic and present with generalized lymphadenopathy, often with extranodal involvement (liver & bone marrow). The prognosis is good and aggressive treatment is not warranted.
