Comments:
Higher magnification of the previous image showing pools of Alcian blue-positive mucin and oligodendroglioma-like cells. These cells show perinuclear haloes but there is no associated perineuronal satellitosis. DNT is a WHO Grade I tumor with excellent prognosis. Treatment is usually surgical resection which results in effective control of the seizures. Many patients respond even to subtotal resection. There are no bonafide cases of malignant transformation of DNT.
