Microscopic Features: Low magnification view of a congenital mesoblastic nephroma in a new born male. Intersecting fascicles of bland spindle cells infiltrate into the renal parenchyma and entrap islands of developing tubules and glomeruli. The darker blue areas on the upper right were foci of extramedullary hematopoiesis.
