Immunohistochemistry: Mesoblastic nephromas are SMA+, vimentin+, desmin-, CD34-, and WT1-. The image from a mesoblastic nephroma, classic variant, shows developing glomeruli and renal tubules surrounded by intersecting bundles of bland spindle cells.
