Gastric Mucormycosis : Transplant patient

This 45 y/o patient developed abdominal pain and hemetemesis 1 month following cardiac transplantation. Endoscopy revealed two large black ulcers along the greater curvature. This image from a partial gastrectomy specimen shows intense inflammation and necrosis in the submucosa.
