Oncocytoma : Solid Pattern

Comments:
Closely packed nests and trabeculae of tumor cells impart a solid appearance in some cases. The main differential diagnosis is with eosinophilic variant of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The presence of nuclear irregularities, perinuclear haloes, and diffuse positivity for CK7 favor chromophobe RCC.
