Comments:
This tumor usually consists of an admixture of osteoclast-type giant cells, mononuclear cells, and areas of conventional urothelial carcinoma. The image shows the former two components. Some tumors are histologically indistinguishable from the giant cell tumors of bone. Other cases just show scattered clusters of osteoclast type giant cells in the stroma. This is an aggressive variant with poor outcome.
