Urothelial Carcinoma - Nested Variant

Comments:
The superficial portions of the nested variant of urothelial carcinoma have bland cytologic appearance; however, in the deeper aspects of the tumor, the nests become confluent or even disappear altogether and are replaced by irregular ribbons, cords, and sheets of infiltrating cells with greater degree of cytologic atypia.
