Urothelial Carcinoma - Micropapillary Variant

Comments:
In cross sections, the micropapillary processes consist of compact cluster of tumor cells. Some of the clusters contain empty space in their center which may simulate glandular lumen. In fact, many of these cases were mistakenly called adenocarcinomas before the existence of micropapillary variant became widely known.
