Differential diagnosis of atypical lipomatous tumor/well-differentiated liposarcoma:

Reaction to Silicone: Silicone breast implants and silicone injections into various sites for cosmetic or therapeutic purposes can incite a massive histiocytic response. Histiocytes become distended with multiple vacuoles containing silicone and closely resemble lipoblasts. Usually, there is mild chronic inflammation as well as foreign body giant cells.
