Lipoblastoma

Comments:
High power view from the previous image showing mature adipocytes separated by small amount of myxoid matrix and arranged in lobules. Cytogenetically, lipoblastomas show rearrangements of 8q11-13 (involving PLAG1 gene) or polysomy of chromosome 8. Prognosis is excellent. Cases of diffuse lipoblastomatosis may recur if incompletely excised.
