Comments:
Gross Pathology: Superficial (subcutaneous) lipomas are well-circumscribed, yellow, round to oval masses with a thin capsule. The size usually ranges from < 1cm to 5 cm (median size 3 cm). The deeper lipomas are generally larger and more irregular in shape. However, they also have a thin capsule demarcating them from the surrounding tissues.
