Prostate Atrophy

Comments:
Simple atrophy consists of medium-sized glands separated by ample stroma. The lack of cytoplasm imparts basophilic appearance to the glands. Simple atrophy is easily recognized and does not mimic cancer. See next image for high molecular weight cytokeratin immunostain.
