Comments:
Incipient Intracholecystic Papillary-Tubular Neoplasm (ICPN): There are some gallbladder lesions that meet most of the criteria for ICPN, including the presence of dysplasia, but are smaller than 1 cm. They have been called incipient ICPN. In such cases, gallbladder should be thoroughly sampled, even submitted entirely, if possible. If no other lesions are found, the term incipient ICPN can be used. They don't appear to carry the same risk of progression to invasive cancers unlike larger ICPNs.
