Pyloric Gland Adenoma

Pyloric Gland Adenoma of Gallbladder: Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms with exclusive pyloric gland phenotype are labeled pyloric gland adenomas. They are often clinically silent and discovered incidentally in gallbladders removed for cholelithiasis or chronic cholecystitis. They occur in adults and are more common in females. Most lesions are < 2 cm in size, sessile or pedunculated and show papillary or mixed papillary and tubular architecture. They readily detach from the mucosa and may be discarded as debris.
