Gallbladder ICPN : Epidemiology

Epidemiology: There are geographic differences in the incidence of intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms (ICPNs) of gallbladder and their association with invasive carcinoma. In the eastern hemisphere, they are more common but less often associated with invasive carcinomas. In the western countries, they comprise a smaller proportion of gallbladder intraepithelial neoplasia but are more prone to progress to invasive cancer.
