Comments:
Adenomyoma of Gallbladder: Microscopically, it shows a collection of cystically dilated glands surrounded by hyperplastic smooth muscle bundles. Some cases lack the myoid component. The process is usually localized and forms a distinct mural nodule. In rare instances, the cystic spaces are diffusely spread and cause uneven wall thickening. The glands are lined by biliary, gastric or endocervical-type epithelium and do not communicate with the surface mucosa.
