Cavernous Hemangioma of Liver

Comments:
Higher magnification view of the previous case showing large dilated vascular spaces separated by thin fibrous septa. Secondary changes such as hyalinization and calcification may be seen in chronic cases. Treatment & Prognosis: Asymptomatic cavernous hemangiomas discovered incidentally on imaging studies are not treated. Symptomatic lesions can be surgically excised. The prognosis is excellent.
