FLC may contain foci of trabecular and/or acinar (pseudoglandular) architecture with little intervening stroma, as seen here. The tumor cells still bear a striking resemblance to native hepatocytes, with abundant cytoplasm and distinct cell borders. The large nuclei, prominent nucleoli, and cellular atypia are characteristic of hepatocellular malignancies.
