Comments:
LCA is typically a solitary well-circumscribed mass, which is lighter in color than the surrounding liver parenchyma, with variable hemorrhage and necrosis. Tumor size varies widely but most tumors are > 10 cm in greatest dimension and solitary. LCA may have focal fibrosis but, unlike focal nodular hyperplasia, usually lacks a macroscopic central scar. The photographs shows a 6.0 cm well-circumscribed subcapsular lesion with areas of parenchymal hemorrhage. Image Copyright: pathorama.ch.
