Comments:
Adenomatous polyps are pedunculated or sessile neoplastic proliferations of colonic mucosa. They show dysplasia by definition and can be tubular, tubulovillous or villous based on glandular architecture. They are precursors to the majority of colorectal adenocarcinomas.

The image shows a pedunculated tubular adenoma that was an incidental finding on autopsy.
