Microscopic Features: Pleomorphic liposarcoma, as the name suggests, is characterized by an extreme degree of cellular pleomorphism. It resembles undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (malignant fibrous histiocytoma) but with the added feature of large lipoblasts with bizarre hyperchromatic scalloped nuclei.
