Comments:
Microscopic Features: A feature commonly seen in myxoid liposarcomas is pooling of stromal mucin, creating cribriform or lacelike pattern and sometimes even producing gross cysts. Flat tumor cells surrounding mucin pools may result in a lymphangioma-like appearance. Another term used to describe the appearance is "pulmonary edema-like." In other cases, rounded tumor cells at the rim of accumulated mucin produce a pseudoacinar pattern.
