Comments:
Hyalinizing Cholecystitis-Associated Gallbladder Carcinoma: Hyalinizing chronic cholecystitis is a subtype of chronic cholecystitis in which the gallbladder wall is replaced by paucicellular, dense hyaline tissue with sparse inflammatory infiltrate and scattered foci of dystrophic calcification. Due to spotty calcification, it has also been referred to as incomplete porcelain gallbladder. It shows a strong association with carcinoma.

The image shows an example of hyalinizing cholecystitis-associated carcinoma. Microscopic features are discussed in the next three images.
