Comments:
Porcelain Gallbladder with Carcinoma The patient was a 40 y/o female with an abdominal mass and diffuse abdominal pain. CT with contrast (coronal view) shows calcifications in the gallbladder wall (porcelain gallbladder) and multiple gallstones within. There is an associated irregular large soft tissue mass with infiltration of adjacent hepatic parenchyma. This is a case of gallbladder carcinoma complicating a porcelain gallbladder with hepatic infiltration. Porcelain gallbladder is considered to be risk factor for carcinoma; however, some studies dispute this point of view.
