Porcelain Gallbladder: The entire gallbladder is converted into a matted, calcified mass of several mixed cholesterol stones. The specimen measured 7 cm in length. It had to be cut open with a bone saw. Note the lamellar appearance of the stones consisting of alternating layers of cholesterol and pigment.
