Introduction: Neural fibrolipoma is a localized, benign, tumor-like expansion of fibrofatty tissue around major nerves and their branches. It is sporadic and is not related to neurofibromatosis. Rare cases have been reported in association with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and Proteus syndrome.Terminology: It has been referred to by a variety of names, including lipomatosis of nerve, fibrolipomatosis of nerve, lipofibromatous hamartoma of nerves, lipofibroma of nerve, neural lipofibromatous hamartoma and macrodystrophia lipomatosa.
