Gastric MALT Lymphoma - Introduction: Stomach is the most common site for extranodal marginal zone lymphomas of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma), comprising 70% of cases. MALT lymphomas make up about 50% of all gastric lymphomas.
Clinical Features: Gastric MALT lymphomas may be asymptomatic or mimic symptoms of gastritis or peptic ulcer disease (nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, and vomiting).
This gastric biopsy with MALT lymphoma shows a dense monomorphic lymphoid infiltrate displacing and distorting gastric glands.
