Image Description
Epithelial hepatoblastoma may contain mixed embryonal (seen on the left) and fetal patterns (seen on the right). Embryonal areas appear less differentiated (immature), with disordered architecture, higher nuclear:cytoplasmic ratios, increased cellular atypia, and poorly-defined cell borders. Fetal areas comprise cords of relatively uniform tumor cells (mature) with abundant cytoplasm and minimal atypia, resembling mature hepatocytes.
