Image Description
Bone marrow evaluation is a routine part of clinical staging of neuroblastomas and in monitoring disease activity. Bone marrow metastases usually take the form of paratrabecular nests of poorly-differentiated neuroblasts with little or no neuropil in the background. In post-chemotherapy bone marrow specimens, one often sees differentiating neuroblasts, singly or in small clusters, with abundant neuropil.
