Comments:
Small clusters and anastomosing cords of basal cell carcinoma of the prostate invading muscle bundles of the bladder neck. Some cases of basal cell carcinoma can be distinguished from florid basal cell hyperplasia rather easily. In more challenging cases, the presence of irregularly-shaped anastomosing nests of basaloid cells, infiltrative growth pattern, and the presence of desmoplastic stroma suggest malignancy.
