Comments:
Salivary duct carcinomas bear a striking resemblance to ductal carcinoma of the breast and may appear as intraductal or infiltrating neoplasm. In this image, there is intraductal component with comedonecrosis on the upper right. The lower portion of the image shows cancerization of salivary acini and ducts (similar to lobular cancerization by DCIS seen in breast). The upper left shows uninvolved, atrophic-appearing salivary acini and ducts.
