Splenic Marginal Zone Lymphoma (SMZL) - Morphology: The tumor nodules are composed of a uniform population of lymphoid cells with marginal zone differentiation. They have moderate amounts of pale-staining or clear cytoplasm and slightly irregular nuclei. Scattered large B-cells resembling centroblasts or immunoblasts are often present in both the white and the red pulp (see next image).
