Comments:
Osteosarcoma involving distal right femur in a 17 y/o female (same case as the previous two images). A delayed phase bone scan demonstrates intense uptake in the distal right femur. This is a non specific finding and is typical in all lesions exhibiting increased bone turnover. Bone scans are useful in locating lesions in a multicentric osteosarcoma. Case produced with permission, courtesy of Dr. Frank Gaillard. Radiopaedia. Complete case is here.
