Comments:
The cut surface of pleomorphic adenoma can be variable and depends on the relative proportion of epithelial and stromal components. This image shows a well-demarcated nodule demonstrating a uniform glistening cut surface due to cartilaginous stroma of the tumor. Recurrent pleomorphic adenomas have variable size, multinodular appearance and show extensive involvement soft tissue; however, the histology is usually benign.
