Comments:
Introduction: Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is the 2nd most common subtype and accounts for about 30% of all cases of RMS. It is seen in slightly older age group (10 to 25 years old) in contrast to embryonal, botryoid, and spindle cell types, which are most common in younger patients.

The most common locations are the deep soft tissues of upper and lower extremities. Head and neck region, genitourinary tract, and gynecologic sites are infrequently involved. Grossly, it is fleshy, yellow-tan lobulated tumor which may have areas of hemorrhage and/or necrosis.
