Diffuse Neurofibroma

Some diffuse neurofibromas are admixed with large amounts of mature adipose tissue. The neural component may be overshadowed by fat leading to erroneous diagnosis. Scattered foci containing clusters of Schwann cells (as shown here) were helpful in making the correct diagnosis in this case.
