Comments:
Acinic cell carcinoma of the parotid in a 70 y/o male. It presented as a palpable, slightly painful mass at the right mandibular angle. The patient first noticed it when he began having trouble sleeping on his right side. This axial MRI image shows a well-circumscribed solid and cystic mass with post-contrast enhancement. The diagnosis was confirmed by ultlrasound-guided FNA and core biopsy (see next image). Case courtesy of Dr Matt A. Morgan, Radiopaedia.org. From the case rID: 32560
