Mucinous borderline tumors (MBTs) of the ovary are multicystic lesions filled with mucinous material as seen in this image. The cyst walls are flat and smooth or show papillary excrescences. Some cases show solid foci. The lining epithelium can be intestinal type (85% of cases) or endocervical type (15% of cases).
